Under Paul's leadership, Scalar has grown to become the premier technology integrator for solutions in the enterprise. One of the company's founders, Paul works closely with the Scalar Board of Directors and his leadership team to realize the company's mission of creating value for customers by rapidly delivering mission-critical solutions.

Paul has more than 15 years experience in the Canadian high-tech industry. His career began at IBM supporting the initial launch and rollout of the RS/6000 line of Unix based servers and included technical and sales roles focused on some of Canada's largest banking and insurance customers. Later joining Enterprise Technology Group (ETG) in 1996 in a sales role and later as the managing partner / principal. ETG delivered over 500M in technology solutions focused around Sun Microsystems technologies.

Paul is a graduate of McMaster University. He has a Honors Bachelor degree in Computer Science.

As Chief Technology Officer and Lead Architect for Grid Computing, Roger determines the Scalar Decisions technology direction by focusing on delivering solutions that are relevant, cost-effective, and leading edge. His team of architects is responsible for investigating emerging technology, testing and verifying these technologies in Scalar Labs, and architecting often disparate technologies into customer ready solutions.

Passionate about technology and its use, Roger is a co-founder of Scalar Decisions and a proponent of Scalar's "architect led" vision. Roger has worked in the industry for over 18 years designing, developing, deploying and managing solutions in many industry verticals. Currently Roger ensures he stays ahead of the industry by focusing on Grid Compute design and deploying multi-Gflop HPC clusters. At the same time Roger consults with industry vendors and customers on numerous councils ranging from technology exchanges, Product development, and green computing initiatives.

Edward WongEdward Wong

Edward has over 10 years of successful sales and management experience in the technology industry. Edward joined Sun Microsystems of Canada in the early 90's as a Systems Engineer to their Insurance, Banking and Telecommunications verticals.

A few years later, Edward joined Sun's premier partner, Enterprise Technology Group (ETG), as an Account Manager. His role at ETG evolved to Sales Management and eventually Managing Partner during his 7 year tenure. Edward brings to Scalar the proven experience to build a sales team that delivers quality and excellence to their customers

Edward is a graduate of the University of Waterloo.

Mark RansomMark Ransom

Mark brings over 17 years of extensive operations and sales experience in the IT industry to Scalar. Mark previously held a management position at Sun Microsystems, a leader in Open Systems and Storage products. Mark's previous work experience also includes account management and technical positions with EDS, and various technical roles at Tandem Computers and Security Card Systems. Mark's experience in both the Operations and Sales side of technology deployment and management has enabled him to drive a successful build out of Scalar's Managed Services offerings.

Eric NgEric Ng

Eric brings over 15 years of extensive sales experience in the IT industry to Scalar. Eric previously held account management responsibilities at Enterprise Technology Group and, more recently, Sun Microsystems. Eric’s creativity and innovative solutions have enabled him to consistently attract and retain new multi-million dollar accounts in a variety of industry markets.

Eric’s previous work experience also includes a management position at Platform Computing, a leader in grid and resource management software and technical positions with both Digital Equipment and IBM.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Owen brings 20 years of IT experience to Scalar's Professional Services team and has deployed and managed many multi-million dollar, mission critical technology solutions in verticals including Financial systems and Telecommunications systems. In recent years, Owen has focused on Client Relationship Management and strongly believes that technology is a business tool. As a result, Scalar's Professional Services team focuses on delivering a complete solution to our customers; integrating new technology into the current environment to solve real problems and provide a measurable return on investment.

Owen is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario.

Michael MorrisonMichael Morrison

As a 13 year Professional in the Canadian IT industry, Michael brings extensive Open Systems and Volume Storage experience to Scalar Decisions; ranging from managing IBM's largest customers, to creating a National X86 brand for Sun Microsystems. While at IBM, Michael managed X86 server sales to Canada's largest banks. His consultative approach has a knack for finding new and potentially game-changing ways for customers to save money on IT and Operations. At Sun Microsystems, Michael held a National Sales Management role for the Volume Product Group. He took a new non-traditional server brand and grew it to over 8% market-share in Canada in less than 4 years. His depth of knowledge of current customer issues and pain points, and competitive industry knowledge gave Michael the edge in building out Sun's X86 brand of servers and blades. At Sun, Michael hand-held the largest and most complex opportunities surrounding Volume system deployments.

Michael holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University, and a Diploma in Business Computer Systems from Seneca College.

Pat MisasiPat Misasi

Pat brings over 25 years of extensive sales experience in the IT industry to Scalar. Pat has been with Scalar Decisions since the beginning and has managed many of Scalar’s largest accounts. He has held account management responsibilities at Enterprise Technology Group and at Fujitsu Canada. As the VP, Strategic Partners, Pat is responsible for managing the programs, relationships and business success for all of Scalar’s strategic vendor partners.

Pat holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and an MBA from York University.

Ron founded XSM Systems Inc., an information technology integration company based in Vancouver, in 1994 and has been President for the past 15 years. Ron merged XSM with Scalar in the summer of 2008 and is now President of Western Operations.

Ron possesses 30 years of experience in the information technology industry and he has held sales and sales management positions across Canada with industry leaders such as Sun Microsystems, Oracle Corporation and Prime Computer.

Ron holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree with a major in Computer Science from the Univerity of Waterloo.

Wendy RobertsonWendy Robertson

With over 12 years experience in financial management, Wendy Robertson brings a wealth of finance expertise to Scalar's leadership team.

Prior to joining Scalar, Wendy served as a Finance Manager for a leading investment broker and, more recently, as Senior Treasury Analyst for Nestle Canada Inc.

Wendy was one of the earlier members of Scalar Decisions. Since joining Scalar over 3 years ago, Wendy has grown her team to meet the challenges and opportunities that come with the rapid growth that Scalar has experienced. Wendy leads a finance team that is committed to supporting Scalar's management and account executives in their efforts to deliver industry leading customer service.
