At Scalar, we are very selective in both the people we hire and the companies we partner with. The team behind Scalar has decades of experience inside data centers - most of our employees have over 15 years experience in the industry and have delivered solutions for multiple FP 500 companies. In addition to hiring people from companies known for their strengths in technology such as Sun, we also hire technical professionals who have served large organizations as lead architects. These skill sets allow us to work with our clients differently. Our sales and engineering teams work to suggest end to end solutions that can be implemented incrementally, and can be structured around your business goals. Our goal is to create a trusted advisor role with our clients based around delivering solutions rather than charging for consulting. This model allows us to tie our success to our clients, rather than to an hourly billing rate.
Our partner strategy also focuses around selectiveness. Our vendor partners first and foremost must innovate. They must also have a stable business with strong growth to ensure their ability to provide roadmaps, service, and support for years to come before they will succeed in our selection process. Our goal is to be recognized by our partners as the best extension of their team in every region where we operate. To date we have been very successful in this, in all established locations we are our manufacturer's lead partner. Our selectiveness allows this happen. You will find that Scalar's solutions partners do not have much overlap in product lines. We use the above stated criteria to pick the top company in a technology area, then make sure it adds value to our total solution offering. When we find those solutions, we commit with all we have. We train both sales and engineering resources to become as competent with the product as the manufacturers themselves. Frequently our ability to see how a product interacts with the other areas of an infrastructure can make us better than the manufacturer at showing customers the value solutions can have for their operations.
