As environments grow and become more interdependent, a complete understanding of what you have and how it’s working is required. Today, your IT group might have to log into each server to check process affinity, or if the environment is too large for a single person to manage, they basically wait for a failure and then try to put out the fires. Our dashboard gives your thinly spread IT staff a one-stop shop for server behaviour and status.

Our monitoring service is completely configurable with custom threshold settings so that you can start acting proactively when servers are behaving outside of their norms. Whether we investigate the issue and come up with remediation or you do is defined by the level of service you require on that particular box.

Scalar Monitoring is available in three flavours that can be mixed and matched throughout your environment:

Level 1 Monitoring

  • Base level monitoring on core components of external compute, storage, and network devices
  • Threshold monitoring on CPU, RAM, disk usage, up/down status on network (snmp traps)
  • Scalar Support Team does not monitor alerts; alerts are routed to you
  • Access to monitoring portal

Level 2 Monitoring

  • Base level monitoring on core components of external compute, storage, and network devices
  • Threshold monitoring on CPU, RAM, disk usage, up/down status on network (snmp traps)
  • Scalar Support team monitors alerts and is engaged in escalation management
  • Access to monitoring portal

Level 3 Monitoring and Remediation

  • Base level monitoring on core components of external compute, storage, and network devices
  • Threshold monitoring on CPU, RAM, disk usage, up/down status on network (snmp traps)
  • Scalar monitors alerts and is engaged in the escalation of alerts
  • Scalar assumes responsibility for problem resolution on agreed upon components
  • Access to monitoring portal
