Scalar partners with Microsoft and HP for High Performance Computing

Toronto, Canada, June 5, 2007 – Today Scalar announces a strategic partnership with Microsoft and HP to deliver Windows Compute Cluster Server solutions for High Perofrmance Computing in the Canadian marketplace.

"Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 brings together the power of commodity x64 computers, the ease of use and security of Active Directory directory service, and the Windows operating system to provide a security-enhanced and affordable high-performance computing (HPC) solution" said Gord Koyama, VP of Engineering Scalar Decisions. "As mainstream customers adopt HPC solutions into their daily operations, Windows CCS 2003 is a natural fit" Scalar has long been experienced in the HPC marketplace and considers the partnership with Microsoft and HP as a great benefit for their customers.

“The easy integration with familiar Windows Server management components brings newfound accessibility to HPC resources, traditionally reserved for experienced power users in the UNIX world” said Matt Kucherawy, Senior Architect Cluster Solutions, Scalar Decisions.
