Toronto, Canada, February 25, 2011 Scalar Decisions Inc. announced today that their President of Western Operations, Ron Tonts, will be stepping aside from day to day business operations effective June 30 2011. Tonts will continue to support Scalar in a consultative capacity.

Tonts has been with Scalar since 2008, when the Toronto-headquartered IT solutions integrator acquired his Vancouver-based business, XSM Systems. Tonts founded XSM in 1994 and has worked in the IT industry for over thirty years. Since the acquisition, Scalar Decisions has continued to build market share and demonstrate double-digit revenue growth, earning them a place on the PROFIT 100 list in 2010.

"This decision is a result of ongoing discussions that I've had with the executive team over the last couple of years while developing and implementing a succession plan," said Tonts. "I am very pleased with the collective growth our team has shown. There is a tremendous opportunity to build on this momentum and continue to deliver high-value solutions to our clients."

Ron Tonts will be succeeded by Darren Sharpe, who will be promoted to the role of General Manager, Western Canada effective July 1, 2011. Darren is currently an account executive with Scalar.

Sharpe holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of British Columbia and has over twelve years of sales and marketing experience.
