In his position as Managing Director, Eric Ng will lead Scalar’s national Digital Transformation and Cloud Practices. Eric brings over 25 years of extensive IT sales and operational experience to define and develop the relevant solutions and services our clients require, as they transform their business into a digital enterprise.
Eric has been with Scalar for over 10 years, holding a number of senior executive positions. Over these 10 years, Eric’s innovative spirit and proven business models, have guided Scalar into new markets, by developing new solutions and building foundational teams. Driving this continual push into new markets has resulted in a 10-fold increase in revenue, and an average 27% compounded annual growth rate over this period.
Prior to joining Scalar, Eric served as an Account Executive at Sun Microsystems of Canada responsible for some of the largest and most well-known institutions in Canada. Eric has also held a leadership position at Platform Computing in their Consulting and Services division. Eric started his career as a Unix consultant on the Financial Services team, with Digital Equipment of Canada in 1991. Eric holds a BASc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and is a proud husband to Sonia and father of 3 wonderful children: Vanessa, Kira, and Jared.
Glenn leads Scalar’s Sales and Marketing Teams, serving over 1000 Clients from 8 offices across Canada. He continues to head the Company’s Security & Risk Advisory Practice.
His first area of responsibility at Scalar was Corporate Development, managing the Company’s acquisitions through 2016. Glenn subsequently led the Security and Risk Advisory Team through rapid growth, prior to assuming the Sales and Marketing portfolio.
Glenn started his career developing emerging CRM and Customer Management capabilities with Omnicom. He then co-founded Exchange Solutions, a leading Customer Engagement Program solutions provider (and long-standing Scalar Client), followed by 9 years of experience in Private Equity and Management Consulting.
At Scalar, he is leveraging his experience in the management of technology-based services businesses, contributing to the Company’s rapid growth as Canada’s leading technology solutions provider.
Glenn is based in Toronto, is the enthusiastic father of two boys, and a graduate of McMaster University and Université canadienne en France.
Paul Kerr has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Scalar since he co-founded the company in 2004. He is responsible for overseeing Scalar’s operations as well as managing all corporate functions including finance, technology, marketing, and strategic planning. Under Paul’s leadership, Scalar has been able to achieve significant growth every year since founding Scalar. Prior to founding Scalar, Paul worked as Managing Partner/Principal at Enterprise Technology Group (ETG), a Sun Microsystems solution provider, where he ultimately delivered over $500M in technology solutions. His career began at IBM, where he supported the initial launch and rollout of Unix-based servers to the banking and insurance sectors. Paul graduated from McMaster University with an Honors Bachelor degree in Computer Science. He has been a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization since 2007 and is currently a candidate for the Institute of Corporate Directors’ ICD.D designation, representing his commitment to strong corporate governance. Paul is active in the not-for-profit community and is a strong supporter of a number of children’s charities. He is a major donor at SickKids Hospital, where he has made a significant multi-year pledge as part of his personal goal to raise awareness on the impact that top pediatric research can have on the lives of children.
Michael joined the Scalar team in November 2017 as our leader in service delivery. These responsibilities span managed services, professional services, project management office, and corporate IT functions, nationally, for our clients and internal team.
His prior roles included senior leadership positions at Bell Canada where he’s had responsibilities in product management, professional services delivery, strategic planning, performance management, and finance. Most recently he led Bell’s Infrastructure Resale business where he helped to establish operational focus and financial rigor that drove significant improvements in business unit profitability.
Michael holds an Economics degree from Western University, lives in Mississauga with his wife Kim and two boys, Evan and Zack, and he spends his spare time with his family in hockey arenas and at baseball diamonds.
Ella joined Scalar in July 2015 and leads the company’s HR strategy and operations focusing on attracting, retaining, and inspiring top talent.
With over 10 years of human resources experience spanning a spectrum of industries, from technology to pharmaceutical to engineering, Ella strongly believes in a culture of putting people first. As Human Resources Manager, her mission is to create an environment where Scalar’s people are empowered to achieve success and be their best.
Acting as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, Ella creates and delivers HR solutions to effectively meet the needs of the business, manage organizational change, and build a high performing and winning culture at Scalar.
Ella holds a Bachelor degree in BA and Economics and a diploma with honours in Human Resources Management from George Brown College.
